Perfect Peanut Butter Cookies

| 1/2 c. | butter-flavored shortening stick |
| 1 Tb. | water |
| 1/2 c. | peanut butter |
| 1/2 c. | sugar |
| 1/2 c. | brown sugar |
| 1 large | egg |
| 3/4 tsp. | vanilla |
| 1 1/4 c. | flour |
| 3/4 tsp. | baking soda |
| 1/4 tsp. | salt |
Beat shortening, sugar, peanut butter and 1/4 c. brown sugar until fluffy. Beat egg and vanilla; add dry ingredients slowly, beating until well blended. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar on top of dough and fold in with a rubber spatula. Roll into balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Press balls with a fork dipped in sugar.
